Modern Planters

shopwillow.net
I love, love, love plants, but sometimes the options for pots aren't that great. Luckily, this isn't your parents' generation anymore where there are only two options...terricotta or ceramic. There is nothing wrong with either of these, but sometimes you need something a little different with a punch to it. Product designers have been working hard to come up with new designs and cooler materials not only to bring visual interest to Fred the Ficus, but to help you solve some space issues with our sometimes "tiny" abode.

Here is a little breakdown of some beautiful and interesting options.

Crazy / Cool Cabinet Fronts

I've been working on kitchens for quite some time and on various occasions come across some interesting cabinet options. Some of them are nice, but most of the ones I've posted today I just like to laugh about.

What do you think?

This is nice, but how do you clean it? A can of air maybe?

This looks like set dressing for an evil laboratory.

I'm not sure who would pick this. Maybe Lady Gaga.

Kitchen Remodel

Hi everyone. I just finished a new project and wanted to know what you think. My friend Jackie just moved into her first home (Congratulations!) and needed some design work. She wanted a light and airy kitchen that felt modern, but still had a retro feel like the rest of her 1940's home. We used Ikea Akurum cabinetry, turquoise glass subway tile, a recycled glass Ceasarstone countertop, retro pulls, and a hexagon tile floor. I think the transformation looks amazing.

Also, check out one of the image boards I created for the space.
